its gone real will run over mallorca next week and where we may win against gimnastic it will not matter. again defensive error costs us and rijkaards stupid tactics. he will not change his tactic because he is stubborn. he needs a new defence and midfield. actually he needs to go. if we loose the title he will go. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Crying or Very sad

to me, i've pretty much given up. Yesterday i had faith but the more time i have to think about it the less faith i have. It's mainly up to Real Madrid. Barca can win the next game but we would still lose. We just need Real Madrid to lose and the possibilities of that happening are slim to none.

it's over and i'm angry...because unlike many other teams we have the resources to win. We are supposed to be a top club and hardly made it through the season. Ronaldinho was seriously lacking through the season and i wouldn't be surprised if despite all that he has said he ends up leaving or being forced out because obviously he is not working as hard. I am fully aware that he works very hard and at his worst he is better than most but he could have done so much better. It all has to do with rest, in my opinion he did not have adequate rest and therefore didnt have the strength to work as hard as he could. I believe that he hasn't been attending as many training sessions as other teammates. Losing Eto'o also had a key role in the downfall of this season and Frank's failure to learn from his mistakes are disgusting. I used to have faith in Frank but when he sees something not work he continues to use the same tactics. It's horrible. Gudjohnsen was pretty much useless if not detrimental with the exception of maybe 2/3 games and Olegeur has always messed everything up in my opinion. Thuram is not as young as he used to be and our defense in general had a key part in our downfall.

I contribute most success we had this season to Puyol, he leads a weak defense well and has held the team together. Also Messi has been consistently spectacular in my eyes.

Also. I think Frank has made one of his biggest mistakes in not including Saviola as much. He's an amazing player and would have definitely helped more this season.

For me, the tittle is lost, RM would NEVER lose against Mallorka-how weak as a team you can be to lose the tittle in the last match against a weaker team and at home-that' impossible!
We started this season well, but the second half off the season was terrible. And this season ended in the familiar stile-Barca conciding goal in the last minute, RM scoring in the last min Confused That was probably the way we functioned this half season.
I don't think RM were better, we were lacking our two decisive players half season and we still managed to hold on top for a long time Wink
Its normal that we all look for the reasons why this season ended (for me its the end) this way, but we should only look forward to the next seaon and hope that Barca would make some good transfers this summer
We have to forget this horrible season Crying or Very sad

Yeah, the season is over. We have to put up with the second place, right after Madrid Evil or Very Mad This year we lost everything we only could (the UEFA Supercup, FIFA Club World Championship, the Champions League,..). And what makes it even sadder is that we had the potential to win.
From the very beginning we had bad luck on our side: overall tiredness of our leaders, loss of Messi and Eto'o, unjustified summer transfers, not inventive Rijkaard unable to create new tactics and whatnot. All these factors told on our performance. Besides something was going on inside the team and Eto'o disclosed this "something" by overturning Barca reiterations about a happy team with no tensions between the players. A myth about a united team was dispelled.
A medicine for Barca is a partial change of the squad and a new manager who is better adapted to ever growing demands in football and who'll make the stars work.
This season serves us right for being too self-confident but i hope we'll make the right conclusions from the situation and we'll never repeat these mistakes in future.

It's a nice opposition, really. Your stakes Ladies and Gentlemen Laughing

Well, in fact i'm double minded. Frank created the team that was on top of Primera for two consecutive years and won the CL.
I don't know what is better (or more honest if you like) to take a new coach on or to give Rijkaard one more chance. Of cource, I'm not to decide that, but still... a new coach means a new life for Barca but it also means difficulties in adjusting to each other.

I don't think we shall 'discard' after just one bad season. I actually think that is very ungratefull.. This has been a very bad season yes, and sometimes after we have lost a game that would seem as a walkover, I have caught myself thinking that rijkaard never should've started coaching in the first place. But when I calmed myself down I realised how ungratefull thinking that is.. look at how much he has given us? Some might think it was all Hen Ten Cates work, noone really knows eh? Everybody has bad times.. Even Rijkaard, Ronaldinho and everyone Barca includes..
We may have lost the league but I have faith that with some minor adjustments (Oleguer, Ezquerro out; better defensive players in and better subs in case we suffer injuries like eto'os or messis again) for next season we will come back strong as ever.
But I guess in football you just never know Wink
Sorry if you disagree with me but this is just my opinion and I don't think I will change it untill we've had at least 3-4 bad seasons in a row (which hopefully never will happen Smile )

I've found this today on the net:

A very true to life caricature. But it made me think that perhaps we lost our hopes in Barca too early. We have one more game ahead as well as Madrid. Who knows what will happen. Mallorca may surprise Real and give us the lead. Madrid is too willing to win and this overexcitement may spoil their game.
